Fashion News of the Month: April Recap

With April officially over it's time to do a fashion recap. The biggest event sweeping the fashion world this past month was the famous Coachella music festival. The festival left behind a trail of music, art, and, most importantly, unforgettable fashion moments. As the desert dust settles and the memories linger, it's time to celebrate the standout style statements that graced the festival grounds this year. From bohemian chic to urban streetwear, Coachella attendees brought their A-game, proving once again that this iconic event is as much a fashion spectacle as it is a musical extravaganza. People are much more laid back this year but let's face it Coachella is Coachella. So without further ado, let's dive into the most prevalent fashion themes we saw this year.

1. Bohemian Cowboy: Coachella wouldn't be Coachella without its signature bohemian vibe, and this year, attendees fully embraced the free-spirited aesthetic. However, western culture is currently having a moment. Not only do we still see Flowy maxi dresses adorned with floral prints, crochet tops paired with denim cutoffs, but also working boots with statement belt buckles, worn jeans, vests and you might even top it off with a cowboy hat. Either way it effortlessly captured the carefree essence of Coachella style, radiating an aura of effortless coolness wherever they went.

2. Street Style Stars: Urban edge met festival flair as attendees showcased their take on streetwear at Coachella 2024. Oversized hoodies, cargo pants, and chunky sneakers were the order of the day, accessorized with statement sunglasses and bold jewelry. These street style stars brought a dose of attitude and edge to the desert landscape, proving that Coachella fashion is anything but predictable and that its just not that serious.

3. Glitterati Goddesses: Sparkle and shine took center stage at Coachella 2024, as attendees embraced all things glitter and glam. Sequined dresses, metallic bodysuits, and holographic accessories shimmered under the desert sun, creating a dazzling spectacle that was impossible to ignore. These glitterati goddesses lit up Coachella with their radiant style, proving that a little sparkle goes a long way.

4. Vintage Vibes: Nostalgia was in full swing at Coachella, as attendees channelled retro-inspired looks straight out of decades past. Think psychedelic prints, tie-dye tees, and vintage band merch paired with high-waisted jeans and platform boots. These vintage vixens brought a touch of retro charm to the festival grounds, transporting attendees back in time with their retro moods.

5. Bold and Beautiful: For some attendees, Coachella fashion was all about making a statement. Bold colors, eye-catching prints, and head-turning accessories were the name of the game, as festival-goers embraced their individuality with fearless confidence. From neon hues to animal prints to oversized hats adorned with feathers and flowers, these fashion trailblazers left an unforgettable impression on Coachella. We also saw many unique textures being used by performers such as Doja Cat who showcased a bodysuit made of hair!

As the sun sets on another epic Coachella weekend, it's clear that fashion played a starring role in the festivities. From bohemian babes to street style stars to glitterati goddesses, attendees brought their unique style sensibilities to the desert, creating a fashion landscape that was as diverse and dynamic as the music itself. Here's to the best-dressed individuals who made Coachella 2024 a fashion odyssey to remember.
